That's supposed to be Superman's "symbol" :p
Last November 15, fiance's birthday, I decided to give us both a treat of a lifetime. Luckily, CashCashPinoy just had a recent deal and I paid only P260 (instead of P400) per head for the Thrilling Superman Ride at Zoom Tree Top Adventure.
It was both our first time. And the place was new to us. But we got there just in time :) Arrived around 6:30. (By the way, Zoom's open 10 AM to 7PM daily). The place, Circulo Verde, is still under development but we didn't bother. We were excited! The crew was very accommodating and our "tour guides"-slash-assistants were obliging enough to take LOTS of pictures of us. (When I say LOTS, I really mean it!)
Here, one of our pictures before the ride:
Hehe, kami na excited :p The crisp air and Eastwood City lights below us made us even giddier. :)
The ride itself was unforgettable. For a moment, I was afraid that I might fall and didn't look down at first. I was holding fiance's hand VERY tightly and decided to take a peek down. It wasn't scary at all. The view was simply breathtaking! And guess what? I. CAN. FLY!! :D
So how did Birthday Boy like his birthday treat? He gives the ride a two-thumbs up!
Thanks so much Zoom Tree Top Adventure and CashCashPinoy! 'Til we meet again! (I just have the feeling that's it's gonna be SOON!)

My first blog event
Currently waiting for the Pacquiao-Margarito match courtesy of PLDT WatchPad. (Well, aren't we all are?) Anyway, to pass by time and since I'm delayed with my blog posts, let me share my experience of my very first blog event.
It was made possible by Sir Jayson of Winner's Place, Wendy's and all other sponsors.
Charles and I arrived kinda early for the event and at that point, I wasn't sure what a blogger's event really was. First of all, I do not consider myself as a fulltime blogger. I mean, I blog for the sake of 1) releasing stress (Livejournal's purpose) and 2) to win contests (Blogspot's purpose). Attending events is kinda new to me. I only attend events if the event is part of my winning like in ETC's Project Runway 2. So since Sir Jayson told me that I won in his contest, I decided to go, of course, dragging Charles along.
Event was held at Wendy's Boni and I couldn't be thankful enough for good (and free!) food:

Since I won in Sir Jayson's contest, I am just happy that I got a gift cert from Jellybean. :)
And of course, the best part is meeting new people who offered valuable tips, tricks of the trade, laughter and smiles. I certainly learned a lot from this experience and I'm happy that I decided to go. Looking forward to more events, contests and winnings in the future!
Micah's Gymboree Experience
Waaaay back in April, Tatak Digitista had a contest in cooperation with Pampers. Thanks to them, I won these:
I also had a picture of the actual prize but I'm too lazy to browse at my previous entries, please bear with me :p All the items were immediately used but I stalled using the free Gymboree class they were offering. I was waiting for the perfect time - weekend off so Charles and I could both go see our daughter on her "first day" of class. Last Sunday, was the day so off we went to Trinoma despite the impending rain. Arrived there exactly on time and chose the ongoing class (just started 3 minutes). From there, learned 2 lessons right away:
1. Allocate at least 5 minutes before the start of the class. There's registration, removing of shoes, the works before entering and it could take time.
2. For parents, be sure you're wearing socks. They require adults to wear socks once inside the room. Or you could buy from them for P40 a pair. Hehe, sayang din yun. Pang twister fries din yun :p
Anyhow, we went inside the Music Room which more or less looks like this:
Grabbed from http://www.gymboree-ph.com/trinoma.html.
I wasn't sure if cameras were allowed so I wasn't able to bring out the cam. Kakahiya rin. We were late, remember? :) So since it was a Music class, there were lots of singing, games, playing of instruments, listening to music inside. There were two teachers who were both equally good. They also had personalized teaching and they encouraged kids to participate without being to pushy. (And that skill, I have yet to learn.). It was a good 1-hour class though Micah wasn't really participating that much. Sayang but still, it was a good first time. :) Besides, it was just for free. Next time, we'd like to try more classes and let Micah play in their visually appealing play area. Yeah, next time, next time. (When I win the 6-55 grand lotto jackpot!)
Thanks Tatak Digistista, Gymboree and Pampers!

Thankful.
In a world where everyone stresses out to beat the deadline, heavy traffic occurs as drivers beat the red light, people always settle for something else - never anything less, communication is done through poking, buzzing, PM's and DM's, there seems to be endless movement. Time is drifting fast and from the looks of it, we should be faster. But have you tried stopping?
I did. And I began to appreciate the beauty of NOW. And for that, I am thankful for the gift of existence. I am simply thankful for being here, in this moment, at this place, at this particular time. I am thankful that I am able to experience God's amazing gift of family, friends, of LOVE.
How about you? What are you thankful for?
Let's spread the LOVE :)
This post, by the way, serves as my entry to "I Draw For A Living's October Giveaway." Get to win amazing prizes from Ms. Lizz by visiting her birthday giveaway at http://www.lizzbuenaventura.com/2010/10/giveaway-big-birthday-bash-is-finally.html.

I want a Suede Hobo Bag from PinkMagaLine!
I'm sorry for the un-updated blog. Camera's with Mama so I wasn't able to post pics of what I've won recently and I had been too busy to join online contests. Anyhow, Mrs. Kolca of PinkMagaline is giving away a suede hobo bag and I just find it verrrrry niiiiice :) BTW, thanks for the pink clock. It wakes me up perfectly :) Again, going back, for the bag contest, I think the suede hobo bag would perfectly fit this ensemble which I "created" using my Looklet.

A Winning Story
Back then, I haven't really considered myself as a winner. How could I? I rarely join contests (only raffle!) so my chance at winning is negligible. Zero to one percent. Did I win? I defenitely didn't win a single cake from our org's cake raffle nor did I win the car from Parco Supermarket. HAHA, ASA :)
Good thing, I stumbled about this site. At first, I was hesitant to join because I haven't experienced winning yet. But I read Boy-Kuripot/Jeff Siy's blog here and got inspired. He was able to win some goodies, so why can't I?
I started joining from time to time (I'm a full-time mother, parttime tutor then) and slowly, my view on winning started to change. This is it! I'm loser no more :)

I was able to win a free dinner with Up Dharma Down with my cousin. I was able to snag some goodies along the way. I won some tickets, shirts, planners, caps, food, food and food! :) I also won an iPod Shuffle, a watch from Mango, shoes from VNC and was able to attend another event - Project Runway Philippines 2!

Indeed, I have been blessed that I now consider myself as a WINNER. Unlike before though, I don't get to join online contests that often but luckily, I still haven't really lost that winning streak (Pwera usog hehe). I wish to share this streak with everyone and that resulted to my blog of contests.
But after all the contests, the winning, the losing and the claiming of prizes, I feel like I'm really a WINNER when I am with the most amazing kid in the whole world.
To Sir Jayson of Winner's Place, you inspire me once again. Your story of winning is a challenge for me - to try harder, never quit. After all, winners never quit and quitters never win.

SUPER!
They say that happiness is subjective. I strongly agree with this one. I am one of those people who laugh at the silliest jokes and cry over "awww" movies/moments/quotes (Yeah, LGMH!). Actually, there are many things that make me happy.
A good find at an ukay-ukay store
Hongkong stir-fried noodles at 1 AM when I'm on night shift
An unplanned meeting up with friends
Trying out new stuff and tasting new food
Out-of-town trips
Winning online contests
An extra off from duty
UP trips with my best friend
PAY DAY!
I know there are a lot more, those are the things that came to mind. But if you want to make me SUPER HAPPY, all I need is:
MY FAMILY
It doesn't matter if we just stay at home, watch TV or just stare at each other.
As long as I have them,
I AM HAPPY.
No, scratch that.
I AM SUPER HAPPY.
How about you? What makes you happy? Share it with me. Or better yet, share it with me and the very generous and gorgeous Ms. Kumiko Mae.
Who knows, you might get to experience, zipline FOR FREE! For more details, head over at http://www.lovingsunshine.com/2010/07/how-super-are-you.html!
How cool is that? This would DEFINITELY make me happy!

Give me an Android, baby!
Days before the giveaway deadline, I came across THIS. And yes, I want an android phone!
You see, my current phone is no less than a China phone. A China phone with dual sim capacity, VGA camera, MP3 player, etc. I got it after I dropped my Motorola L6 into the toilet bowl. My dad went to Hongkong in 2006 and seeing that dual sims were the current trend there, he bought me one.
That's my phone over there. When people ask me about the model, I just say "China". Or I tell them "Bluetooth" as pictured above.
For an almost 4-year-old phone, it still looks nice, considering it's a China phone. But having a kid like this in the house is another story.
She's Micah "The Destroyer" and she's a year younger than my China phone. On the day she discovered she could control her movements, she became closer to my phone.
Now, the front looks brand new but the back part is like this:
Yes, that's a effin' tape that I decided to put about 3 months ago so that my phone won't completely disintegrate. Was it useful? I'd like to think yes until I noticed that my phone already looks like this at a 180 degree angle.
Hehe, so much for my "protective" tape. In a few months time, I'm afraid I would have to bid goodbye to my Bluetooth phone which has been with me for the longest time (even more years that my Nokia 5110)! As of now, there are signs of pending deterioration as evidenced by battery falling very often. I might have to employ the aid of the ever-reliable rubber band! So I think, I very much deserve an android phone as I have exhibited utmost care despite the presence of The Destroyer.

Syry-Online's first giveaway!
Win everything here:
just by visiting this link, following and re-blogging! Open to US and Philippine residents. Ends on the 29th of July, 2010, a day after my birthday. (It'll be a wonderful birthday present!). Good luck, lovelies!
My Goodles Experience
I recently won in Goodles' FB contest. According to the FB page, I won a pasta tub! So, off I went to Galle today, my off day, with the fiance. We were verrrry hungry that time and chose something unique and filling. We chose this:
Grape Carbonara!
I read from somewhere a good review of this during one of the bloggers' events so I decided to try it. BTW, the picture came from their FB site. I wasn't able to bring a cam awhile ago but what we had was pretty the same, except that the grapes were violet :p The cream was winner, there was unlimited Parmesan cheese and the way the grapes "balanced" the taste was perfect.
Will I buy? Location-wise, Galleria isn't really convenient for me. We had to take the bus just to avoid the loooong walk from the MRT Ortigas station to Galle. Priced at P165 per tub, it is pretty expensive, compared to Noodle House, at least, which as filling as Goodles.
Still, it was a good Goodles experience and I'd like to thank Goodles for the opportunity. More power to Goodles and more contests to come!

My Machiavelli Experience
Since the Machiavelli GC said "Until June 30, 2010", I decided to claim my P600 worth of chocolates last Monday after my shift. Got a little lost in Makati finding Rustan's Essences but found it after trusting my instincts and a few friendly manongs in Ayala. Place was posh and I felt out of place with my white uniform. Anyway, I felt relieved when I found the booth, chose 12 chocolate types and saw them put in an elegant box and white paper bag.
Went straight to Galleria, still clad in my uniform but this time carrying the paper bag, hoping to get another freebie. Unluckily, the crew didn't have a clue so I had to go home :( I was soooo hungry that I ate 6 chocolates while I was at the bus. Yeah, P300 worth of chocolates! When I got home, all the was left was these:
Hehe, konti na lang :) Chocolate was VERY GOOD! It was rich and the taste was very distinct. I especially loved Palawan truffles. YUM! But I won't spend P50 for one piece. If there would be a contest though, I'd definitely join again! Thanks Enjoy Philippines!

Cheers to Ms. Jeck on her birthday and here's to more freebies and contests~
Now that's SWEET!
It is undeniable that I have a sweet tooth. I'd finish off one jar of gummy bears in one sitting if I could! So when I came across Lucy's contest here, I decided that it's gonna be now or never.
Open to anyone around the world. Heck, I'm from the Philippines so those English sweets would really be, well, sweet! Contest ends on April 13, 2010. Good luck everyone! :)
Here's a sneak peek of what you'll get if you win her contest:

A bag of sweets from The Sugar Boy!
Aand, Lucy decided to throw in some more goodies:
